Want to feel content every day? Balance out your chakras! Only takes 10 mins a day!


For those of you who don’t know what chakras are let me give you a quick run through. Chakras are vortex’s of energy points in our body, they also help control glad’s and organs in the body and used by many teachers of meditation and throughout history. The 7 chakras and their colors are a modern representation. The tradition of Tantrik yoga (from 600-1300CE) is where chakras stem from and if you look back in history there are many chakras in the body, I’ve read up to 28! There’s a lot more to the background of chakras but I leave that for another day. Belief in chakras are a personal thing, are they real? Well if you believe that we are connected to source energy and we are a spirit within our physical body and we use vibrations to control our reality (law of attraction) then yes chakras are real and balancing them out does work! We have 7 of these chakras, which are


Root chakra – where your bottom is, kind of… -. This is responsible for trust and grounding yourself. Represented as the color red

Sacral chakra – which is two inches below your belly button – is responsible for your sexuality ( ooo lala) and your creativity! Represented as the color orange

Solar plexus chakra – which is just under your diaphragm – is responsible for your wisdom and inner strength – represented as the color yellow

Heart chakra – where your heart is (middle of chest) is responsible for the love and compassion you have to yourself and others. Represented as the color green

Throat chakra – this is where your communication comes from, the truth (I talk a lot so I’m sure mine is always fine!) and is represented by the color Blue

Third eye chakra – probably always herd of this one the most, but its responsible for psychic abilities and intuition – represented by the color dark purple

And lastly the crown chakra – which is responsible for our spirituality and our connection to source (or god to some). represented as the color light purple or gold


What happens if our chakras are not balanced? And how to know?

You know if your ‘out of balance’ because you don’t feel great, you are experiencing certain negative emotions, you may have mental health issues such as depression or physical health issue such as being ill. Of course, there are many things that can affect us and many things that can throw certain chakras off! If you feel insecure then your root chakra is off. A personal example was I was involved into a discussion which is where I felt I was misrepresented, this made me very very down that I didn’t really have energy to talk and I got a bad cough so I LITERALLY found it hard to talk, I put this down to my throat chakra needing some healing.


The best solution? Is to do a chakras-based meditation for 10mins a day to keep all your chakras balanced which thus help you to stay balanced and content!

I will add the link to the 10min ‘Guided chakra balancing meditation’ I use, but honestly there is some many on YouTube you can choose what suits you. I recommend to use a guided one to help you visualize light coming from source.


I also suggest you do this before bedtime to help the healing continue while you are asleep and on thee astral plane ( connection to spirit world) you’ll wake up feeling great!

Before you practice your meditation, I recommend you ask help to aid you in your healing, I usually say a prayer something like this.


‘To my relatives that have passed on, my spirit guides and source and also my higher and divine self, please help give me energy in aiding me in my healing, I thank you in advance for your help.’


Honestly having spirit help you really makes a different to your balancing of your self in general. You can always ask your spirit guides and relative sin spirit for help and support in anything you need! Just remember to say thank you!
